Your Restylane session starts with a consultation with our providers, who assess your facial features and discuss your goals and concerns. The provider customizes a treatment plan that meets your specific needs, including selecting the appropriate Restylane product and determining the amount of filler required. During the session, the provider will use a fine needle to inject the Restylane gel beneath the skin’s surface, targeting the treatment areas. Most treatments take less than 30 minutes, and patients can expect immediate results.
After your Restylane treatment, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects are temporary and resolve within a few days. You can minimize these effects by applying ice packs to the treated areas and avoiding strenuous activity for 24-48 hours. Most patients resume their daily activities immediately.
The results of your Restylane treatment will be visible immediately after the session and will continue to improve over the following days as the swelling and redness subside. The effects of Restylane can last for several months, depending on the product used, the treatment area, and your metabolism. To maintain your results, we recommend scheduling touch-up treatments every six to twelve months.
